The ultimate Australian Outback 4 wheel drive challenge. This is a 4WD adventure tour of history revisited.
Going South to the North we follow in the footsteps of the original cattlemen, and experience first hand the harshness they encountered in this unforgiving land.
Spinifex and red dirt stretch for miles across the vast Australian Outback landscape. The desert track crosses hundreds of sand dunes, some up to 16 metres high, and clay pans crusted with salt. This makes for a unique 4WD trekking adventure!
In this unfriendly land we marvel at vistas of far off mountain ranges in hues of purple and mesa like formations that dot the horizon.
Occasionally spot a camel, and if you look for them a myriad of lizards are noted scurrying for cover over the sand.
The road can be very rough, and pot holed, and there are areas requiring extreme concentration to negotiate by 4WD.
The series of wells, originally constructed to water the stock, are now in various stages of disrepair or restoration, and offer points of interest and welcome shade of mulga or bloodwood.
Various viewing points can be scaled on foot, and red rock gorges offer a spectacular sight in the dying sun, at some of the well stops.
